Turn your itinerary into a clear enquiry

Write down the place names as shown on your accommodation booking and add the region. “Spain” alone is too broad for checking a particular spot. List each stop separately if you are touring, for example Barcelona followed by Mallorca, and note whether you intend to fish from land or from a boat.

You do not need to upload a travel booking for this enquiry. The place, travel dates and fishing method are enough to start. Do not put a passport copy into a contact message. Enter the personal details requested later in the designated order fields.

Ask us about your itinerary and fishing method

Shore, boat, freshwater or spearfishing?

Our coastal order is intended for anglers fishing from shore. A charter trip, trolling, spearfishing or a river outing is a different starting point. Choose by the activity you will actually do, rather than simply looking for your destination’s name in a product title.

The Canary Islands distinguish surface fishing without trolling, trolling and spearfishing in their licence classes. The Balearic Islands have separate licence categories for individual fishing from land and for boats. For these plans, clarify what is needed with us or your trip operator first. Do not buy a second licence on an assumption.

Which checks belong to each stop?

Catalonia and Costa Brava: establish whether the spot is at sea or inland, then check beach, harbour and protected-area rules. Mallorca and the other Balearic Islands: also establish whether you are inside a marine reserve. Tenerife and the other Canary Islands: record the island, shoreline section and intended method.

This is a planning checklist, not blanket permission for any fishing spot. Turn uncertainty into a specific question: “Can I fish here from shore at this time?” is more useful than “Does a fishing licence work in Spain?”. Our FAQ explains the validity of the coastal licence we offer and the local restrictions to check.

Details to prepare for each person

Each person needs first and last name, date of birth, identity-card or passport number, address including country of residence, and contact details. Copy the spelling from the relevant document. Pay particular attention to transposed digits and similar-looking characters in the document number.

The current person form does not ask for document type, a second surname or additional nationality information. Billing details belong to the person ordering. Each member of a group receives an individual licence, so check every person’s information rather than only the billing address.

Understand the service price and payment timing

The coastal fishing licence costs 65 euros per person on this website, including VAT. The base price increases with the number of people. If you choose an offered express option, its displayed surcharge is added once per order: 10 euros for the working-day option or 15 euros for the weekend option. The final total is shown before you complete the order.

This is the price of our application service offer, not the government fee alone. Pay using a method offered in the final step. Bank-transfer orders wait for confirmed receipt of funds; a transfer confirmation alone is not a completed licence.

Have the licence ready before you start fishing

Plan the first fishing day separately from arrival day and order ahead. After full payment and verification of the details, the coastal licence is delivered by email as a PDF within 24 hours on working days. The order confirmation does not replace that document.

Check the name and document number on receipt and save the PDF for offline access. Have your identity document available. Each person in a group receives an individual licence, so distribute the correct files before the trip. The language of the website and customer emails is separate from the language of the authority-issued document.

Check before you go fishing

Check the coastal licence, local fishing rules and special permits separately. This offer does not provide blanket permission for harbours, protected areas, fresh water or every boat-fishing method.
